چکیده

Background: Anti-cytosolic 5′-nucleotidase 1A (anti-cN1A) antibodies were proposed as a biomarker for the diagnosis of inclusion body myositis (IBM), but conflicting specificity and sensitivity evidence limits its use. Our study aimed to assess diagnostic accuracy anti-cN1A in cohort patients who underwent line immunoassay suspected idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM). We also assessed agreement between two testing procedures: (LIA) enzyme-linked (ELISA). Materials methods: collected retrospective clinical serological data 340 antibody assay using LIA (EUROLINE Autoimmune Inflammatory Myopathies 16 Ag et cN-1A (IgG) immunoassay) verification with an ELISA (Euroimmun Lubeck, Germany). Results: The serum samples 20 (5.88%) (15 females, 5 males, mean age 58.76 ± 18.31) tested positive LIA, only out twenty diagnosed IBM. Seventeen (median IQR, 2.9 (1.9–4.18)). Conclusions: suggests excellent concordance detecting antibodies. may be rapid useful adjunct, it could even replace cN1A assay. However, high prevalence diseases other than IBM our anti-cN1A-positive did not allow us consider specific

Cytosolic 5'-nucleotidase 1A autoimmunity in sporadic inclusion body myositis.

OBJECTIVE We previously identified a circulating autoantibody against a 43 kDa muscle autoantigen in sporadic inclusion body myositis (IBM) and demonstrated the feasibility of an IBM diagnostic blood test. Here, we sought to identify the molecular target of this IBM autoantibody, understand the relationship between IBM autoimmunity and muscle degeneration, and develop an IBM blood test with hig...

Pathomechanisms of anti-cytosolic 5'-nucleotidase 1A autoantibodies in sporadic inclusion body myositis.

OBJECTIVE Sporadic inclusion body myositis (sIBM), an intractable progressive muscle disease, frequently occurs in older persons. sIBM pathogenesis may involve protein degradation dysfunction and immune abnormalities. Autoantibodies recognizing cytosolic 5'-nucleotidase 1A (cN1A) were found in plasma and serum from sIBM patients. However, whether anti-cN1A autoantibodies play a pathogenic role ...

Clinical characteristics and favorable long-term outcomes for patients with idiopathic inflammatory myopathies: a retrospective single center study in China

BACKGROUND Little is known about the clinical features and true survival risk factors in Chinese Han population. We conducted the current study to investigate the clinical features, long-term outcome and true potential indicators associated with mortality of idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM) in China. METHODS We restrospectvely investigated 188 patients diagnosed with IIM at our hospit...

Management of suspected acute inflammatory pancreatopathies in a "real-world" setting: a single-centre observational study.

CONTEXT Acute pancreatitis is defined as an acute inflammatory process in the pancreas with variable involvement of other regional tissues or remote organ systems. In Italy, the incidence ranges from 20 to 40 x100,000 inhabitants/year and the mortality rate ranges from 5 to 10%. OBJECTIVE To assess the management of patients with suspected acute inflammatory pancreatopathy and to evaluate the...
